Duties and Responsibilities: |

Key areas of responsibility: • Responsible for Teaching & Learning • Curriculum support through the Maths. • Foster interschool collaboration in the field of the Maths. • Participate in staff appraisal process. • Promote the subject to attract students interested in studying Maths. • In collaboration with other Secondary Departments, promote and develop STEM projects, activities, and events. Social and behavioural support: • Develop students’ self-esteem through the Maths. • Dialogue with teachers regarding student progress in the Maths. • Encourage students to express themselves through the Maths. • Provide opportunities for students to work together. • Provide opportunities for students to showcase their abilities through projects, activities, and events.

A Mathematics teacher is part of a team of educators in the Mathematics Department working together to provide the best learning environment for students and, in doing so, will: · Keep open lines of communication with teachers, administrators, support staff and fellow instructional assistants. · Prepare students for Checkpoint, IGCSE and AS/A Level exams. · Respect confidentiality and privacy of information related to students and the workplace. · Be flexible and willing to perform duties outside the specific scope of your job description. · Participate in school activities such as staff meetings and other school activities. · Attend professional learning and training sessions. · Maintain levels of professional conduct and dress appropriately as a representative of the NBIS community. |

Key areas of responsibility: • A familiarity with the Cambridge curriculum is beneficial. • Ability to teach and assist students with completing assigned tasks and classwork. • Assist in monitoring student progress towards set learning goals and provide feedback, guidance and reinforce taught concepts where necessary. • Offer an extra-curricular activity to students.
Social and behavioural support: • The Mathematics teacher will provide social and behavioural support, evidenced by fostering a respectful, positive, safe, student-centred environment that is conducive to learning. • Assisting with safe transitions and supervision of students. • Supervise, observe and encourage positive student behaviour in a developmentally appropriate way and in keeping with the values of our school. • Supervise students during field trips and at school assemblies. • Assist with duties as required. • Dialogue with the Head of Department of Head of Secondary regarding student academic progress and behaviour. |

Qualification and Experience: · Master's degree in a Mathematics-related subject. · PGCE (with QTS preferable)/iPGCE or an equivalent teaching license from home country. · A minimum of two years of recent successful teaching experience in an educational setting as a Mathematics teacher is preferred. · Able to speak and write like a first-language English speaker. · Strong organisational skills. · A lifelong learner who is willing to learn and use teaching methods, techniques, and procedures in the classroom. Position Purpose: |

A Secondary PE Teacher is an exciting role, with shared responsibility for supporting an inspirational PE curriculum, and developing high standards of teaching and learning at NBIS. This person will be responsible for supporting children’s achievement and wellbeing in PE, and will support initiatives that enhance children’s outcomes. They will be a positive ambassador for change, and will be involved with the professional learning of PE teacher in the PE department through effective professional development. They will play a key role in shaping the future direction of the PE department. |

Duties and Responsibilities: |

· Plan and deliver engaging PE lessons to students. · Sports at a competitive level · Experience of organizing fixtures and hosting events · Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages language acquisition and cultural understanding. · Undertake administrative tasks, such as keeping student registers and attendance records. · Develop and maintain systems for keeping student records, ensuring information is accurate and up to date. · Work in a professional manner and with integrity and maintain confidentiality of records and information. · Contribute to the school improvement plan and whole-school policy. · Any other tasks required by the International Principal and Head of Secondary which are consistent with the purpose of the position. |
