Mathematics Teacher

Duties and Responsibilities:

Key areas of responsibility

 A familiarity with the Cambridge curriculum is beneficial.

 Ability to teach and assist students with completing assigned tasks and classwork.

 Assist in monitoring student progress towards set learning goals and provide feedback, guidance and reinforce taught concepts where necessary.

 Offer an extra-curricular activity to students.

Social and behavioural support

 The Mathematics teacher will provide social and behavioural support, evidenced by fostering a respectful, positive, safe, student-centred environment that is conducive to learning.

 Assisting with safe transitions and supervision of students.

 Supervise, observe and encourage positive student behaviour in a developmentally appropriate way and in keeping with the values of our school.

 Supervise students during field trips and at school assemblies.

 Assist with duties as required.

 Dialogue with the Head of Department / Head of Secondary regarding student academic progress and behaviour.

Requirements:

Qualification and Experience

 Master's degree in a Mathematics-related subject.

 PGCE (with QTS preferable) / iPGCE or an equivalent teaching license from home country.

 A minimum of two years of recent successful teaching experience in an educational setting as a Mathematics teacher is preferred.

 Able to speak and write like a first-language English speaker.

 Strong organisational skills.

 A lifelong learner who is willing to learn and use teaching methods, techniques, and procedures in the classroom.
