Mandarin as a Native Language (MNL) The MNL stream, based on the Chinese National Curriculum, develops advanced listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills. It deepens students’ understanding of Chinese culture through literary analysis, composition, and cultural inquiry. The programme fosters a love of learning, good study habits, independent learning, and encourages exploration, teamwork, creativity, and critical thinking, supporting a positive and well-rounded outlook on life.

Mandarin as a Foreign Language (MFL)

The MFL stream, following the International Curriculum for Chinese Language Education (ICCLE), inspires interest and confidence in learning Chinese across all grades. It develops practical communication, character recognition, vocabulary, and reading comprehension, while exposing students to traditional and modern Chinese culture through diverse activities. Multimedia resources—including interactive apps and Chinese cross-disciplinary projects—enhance and enrich learning, making it engaging and effective.
