Ningbo British International School (NBIS) is one of a group of schools which together form the Zhejiang Wanli Education Group.

From 2005-2016, NBIS used the Australian Curriculum ((ACARA) andwas authorized by DECS, the South Australian Department of Education andChildren’s Services. This was in keepingwith the origins of the school and the needs of the then largely Australianexpatriate community, providing an academically robust and creative programmefor NBIS students.

In March 2017, having surveyed the emerging educational landscape,the school adopted the Cambridge Primary and Secondary Curricula, supported bythe National Curriculum of England and Wales. The school is now authorised by Cambridge International to deliver theCambridge Primary and Secondary Curricula leading to IGCSE Examinations andA-Levels. NBIS is an accredited Cambridge ExaminationCentre. Cambridge InternationalExaminations are the gold-star providers of international education from Year 1to Year 11. And success in A-Levels(Years 12-13) provides access to some of the best universitiesin the world.
